DVDFab Newly Supports AACS Bus Encryption and Anaglyph Output

July 12th, 2011 by DVDFab_Malcolm 16,748 views

Recently, DVDFab added support for new AACS bus encryption present in a few of BD drives in all of its Blu-ray tools, and added anaglyph output with up to 14 anaglyph modes in Blu-ray 3D Ripper and 2D to 3D Converter. It’s really good news for Blu-ray and 3D fans.

AACS bus encryption is a new form of protection in a very few BD-drive models that adds additional layer of encryption in drive firmware. Currently the BD drives with AACS bus encryptions we’ve learned are as follows: HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CH20N A201G, HL-DT-ST BD-RE UH12LS28 1.003, and HL-DT-ST BD-RE BE06LU10 YE03. If you’re “lucky” to have one of these drives, then you can’t backup, rip or convert BD as your drive will encrypt M2TS files with a drive-specific key. And you can’t even find any solution to this issue before DVDFab supports it. Now, DVDFab Blu-ray apps can help you get rid of bus encryption to let you manipulate (copy, rip, convert, backup, burn, clone…) such encrypted Blu-ray content as you like.

DVDFab Blu-ray 3D Ripper and 2D to 3D Converter all added “Anaglyph output” to allow users play the output with normal software player and obtain 3D effect with anaglyph 3D glasses like red-cyan glasses, red-green glasses, amber-blue glasses, etc. “Anaglyph output” currently has up to 14 modes such as Red/cyan, Green/magenta, Amber/blue, Red/green, and Red/blue (monochrome / half color / full color / high quality Dubois). This is definitely a big convenience for those who don’t have professional 3D glasses and 3D display, or who just don’t want to find specific player software in order to view it with anaglyph 3D glasses.
