Iron Man 3 Reportedly Arrives First in New Zealand on April 18 in IMAX 3D?

FIRE, EXPLOSION, MUCH FIRE AND, MORE EXPLOSIONS…

Tony Stark the Iron Man, that super hero who drew millions of us into cinemas three years ago, will soon make us reprise that action again, reportedly starting on April 18 in New Zealand, and then internationally from April 25 to mid May, in IMAX 3D.

As the third sequel to Iron Man (2008) and Iron Man 2 (2010), Iron Man 3 was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Shane Black was picked up in February 2011 as the director, who also penned the screenplay together with Drew Pearce, because Jon Favreau, directors of the first two movies, let go the chance of return due to his scheduling conflict with Magic Kingdom, another movie he preferred at that time. That said, Favreau still served at one of the executive producers, the other being Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios.

As to the casts, Robert Downey, Jr.

and Gwyneth Paltrow will continue their roles as the title characters, Tony Stark and his beautiful lifetime partner Pepper Potts. Don Cheadle and Favreau will repeat theirs as James Rhodes, and Happy Hogan, respectively. Aside from these main characters, there are fresh faces joining the group, Guy Pearce will play Aldrich Killian, a character that is featured in the “Extremis” comic book story arc, Rebecca Hall will play the role which is described as a scientist who plays a pivotal role in the creation of a nanotechnology, known as Extremis, James Badge Dale will portray villain Eric Savin, and Ben Kingsley will be the No. 1 antagonist, the Mandarin, leader of an international terrorist organization who always wears a cloak and who has a freaking  obsession with Sun Tzu, an ancient Chinese renowned for arts of warfare.

Speaking of Chinese, one of the attracting points of Iron Man 3 is that a host of notable Chinese faces are brought in to showcase their acting skills, reportedly, they are Wang Xueqi, starring a Chinese scientist (Dr. Wu?) and old friend of Tony Stark, Fan Bingbing, as Dr. Wu’s wife (or a nurse?), even the Mandarin is rumored to be a Chinese, as Mandarin is so dam excellent at studying Chinese warfare arts from Sun Tzu, but is denied by director Black. Furthermore, Marvel Studios’ experience with Fan Bingbing and Wang Xueqi in this movie and in shooting in Beijing and Shanghai has been very pleasant, which may generate a springboard for future cooperation with many of China’s talented stars and China’s ever growing appetite in movie and television industry.

As to the most fascinating section of the entire storyline, it should doubtlessly be the Iron Legion, which Stark grouped, to take on the Mandarin. You may wonder, what the hell this Mandarin is, is he that indestructible that Stark has to call in a bunch of Iron Men? The answer is yes. One of the previous trailers has shown that Stark is falling down from the sky with fire burning his legs, where the scored background music is referred as “Heroes Fall”, indicating the prowess of the Mandarin. Another trailer also brings Mark XLVII (47) into exposure, and we might be able to see 40 additional armors, which probably means that these 40 new created armors along with the 7 previously used are to arm the Iron Legion, another leaking message confirming Mandarin as a Super Villain. This again repeats that very question: Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Just keep your eyes open wide when you are in cinema, you’ll find the answer.

Will Iron Man 3 be the last episode? From what we can learn so far, it might not be! Just to remind you, DVDFab 9 is ready to help you make backups of your Iron Man 3 as soon as it is available on the market, no matter it is on DVD, Blu-ray and, be it in 3D or not.
