Paramount Home Entertainment is bringing Dexter: The Seventh Season to Blu-ray which is going to be released on May 14, 2013. The latest season stars Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, James Remar, David Zayas, Desmond Harrington, Yvonne Strahovski and Ray Stevenson.
Dexter is a critically acclaimed serial killer drama about Dexter Morgan (Hall), a man who leads a double life as an incredible forensics expert for the Miami Police Department and as an emotionless vigilante serial killer. It’s ironic that Dexter works closely with the people who hunt his kind, and he is likeable.
As a young boy, Dexter was taught by his foster father Harry (Remar) to harness his thirst for blood and killing. Dexter acts by his own moral code strictly — he only kills murderers who can’t be brought to justice. He grapples with fitting into society and, at the same time, struggles with his inability to feel emotion.
In the seventh season, Dexter’s sister Debra (Carpenter) witnesses his ritualistic slaying of a killer and tries hard to deal with the idea that her beloved, mild-mannered brother is Miami’s most notorious and emotionless serial killer. As he is forced to confront his greatest fear, Dexter is still drove by his natural impulses to seek out the guilty and exact justice as vigilante.
The Blu-ray release of the criminal drama features AVC encoded 1080p video and Dolby True-HD 5.1 audio track. And it has been tested playable in Region A.
