Inside Out Collector’s Edition Hits Blu-ray on November 3

Whenever Pixar is mentioned, the first thing coming into people’s mind is that jumping lamp, together with several of its worldwide blockbusters, like Toy Story, Cars, Finding Nemo, etc. On May 18th, 2015, Inside Out, a new 3D computer-animated movie was first premiered at the 68th Cannes Film Festival.

 

 

This James Ford Murphy directed animation immediately received a sea of praises from critics, mainly about its excellent vocal performances, its concept, and its poignant subject matter. The fact turned out to be even brighter after it finally hit the theater one month later on June 19, it scored $90.4 million in box office during the first weekend, which was later confirmed to be the highest opening for an original title. Eventually, it grossed over $842 million global wide, making it the fifth highest-grossing film of 2015, the second highest-grossing animated film of 2015, the third highest-grossing Pixar film, the ninth highest-grossing film released by Disney, the tenth highest-grossing animated film of all time, and the 44th highest-grossing film of all time.

 

Inside Out tells a vivid story between Riley, a girl who was born in Minnesota, and Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger, the five personifications of Riley’s core emotions that came to real life within Riley’s mind. The emotions live in Headquarters, Riley’s conscious mind, where they influence Riley’s actions and memories via a control console. Her new memories are housed in colored orbs, which are sent into storage at the end of every waking period. The most important or “core” memories are housed in a hub in Headquarters and power five “islands”, each of which reflects a different aspect of Riley’s personality. Joy acts as the dominant emotion to keep Riley in a happy state, but she and the others do not understand Sadness’s purpose… …

 

Soon on November 3, the Collector’s Edition of Inside Out will hit the street in Blu-ray, Digital Copy and DVD formats. Inside the slipcover package, you will find two Blu-ray discs, and a DVD disc, and there will also be an iTunes digital copy and a Google Play digital copy available, which are supposed for you to enjoy on your Apple and Android mobile devices, respectively. The 1080p video is encoded in MPEG-4 AVC, with an aspect ratio of 1.78:1, and the audio includes at least a DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track in English, audios in other languages are still to be confirmed at this time, as of the subtitles, they will appear in English, English SDH and Spanish.
