Improvements in the DVD to Blu-ray Quality with DVDFab Enlarger AI

July 15th, 2020 by Starry 13,953 views

Hi there! It’s high time that we should give you some insights into our latest improvements and the direction of further efforts.

First of all, we would like to let you know our main goal is to improve your viewing experience substantially via a large screen and high resolution when you have a compressed DVD at your disposal and even regular movies at hand in hope of watching them at a higher resolution.   Fortunately, all your expectations and desirable needs can be met now in view of our constant innovations and improvements. Thus, we are glad to share with you the challenges we have tackled from multiaspects.

Essential Details about DVD Formats

Usually, DVDs include two formats, namely, PAL (720×576) and NTSC (720×480), whose aspect ratios are respectively 16:9 and 4:3. As you may know, the data stored on a DVD is not the motion picture (that occupies a huge storage space) filmed originally, but a lossy compressed version of the original content. For a DVD, its encoding algorithm is called MPEG, a lossy compression algorithm similar to JPEG for pictures, both using the DCT algorithm on 8×8 pixel blocks. As for motion pictures, the quality of their frames remains arguably decent when viewed on a small screen, but when resized on a large screen of a modern TV, the viewing experience will be undermined at once due to the cubic artifacts of the image (blocky aspect), along with the loss of color and details.

Objectives of Enlarger AI

The challenges we have addressed can be summarized as follows in the course of improving the features of this powerful AI-driven video enhancer.

  1. Fix Color Loss

This aspect is probably more noticeable on high-end computers and TV displays, but, in terms of design, the MPEG DCT algorithm adopts color quantization, which means it reduces the number of original colors, making the image less vibrant and appealing. However, Enlarger AI’s algorithm (hereinafter short for the Algorithm) manages to translate the reduced color palette into a much richer one.

  1. Fix Image Artifacts

Eliminating the compression blocks is another tricky problem, as square elements in images are also common in nature. Enlarger AI tries to make smart decisions in reducing and eliminating the blocky effects.

  1. Improve True Details

Thanks to the deblocking feature, the Algorithm can improve the crisp details in a content-aware manner. Therefore, letters and small objects will be rendered with much higher quality and textures.

  1. Create Videos with a Solid Motion Consistency between Frames – No Flickering

It is often the case, especially in old movies, when the original content renders lots of noise and camera artifacts. We might think these undesirable effects cannot be removed because they are part of the original content, mood, and feel. Also, mood and feel represent a pattern of experience that shall not be removed during the movie playback. Hence, a big challenge in the frame-by-frame approach is the modification of background noise texture, which renders a disturbing image when put together in the motion picture. Thankfully, all these problems have been resolved.

  1. Speed

With Enlarger AI, we managed to improve a movie in a reasonable amount of time, considering the series of tasks asked from the algorithm to be solved. The results are not perfect yet, as for now recomposing details has become a higher priority than eliminating every single artifact, but the blocks are greatly reduced and the details are able to create a richer viewing experience. Trying to show a “hard to solve” input for the algorithm, down below we added some visual results after the video has been suffering from extreme compression artifacts.

Usually, DVDs have a considerably better compression ratio than the ones listed in the following screenshot. The Algorithm can recognize the artifacts, diminish them, and improve the texture, color, and true details of the image. The red circles we marked out in the pictures reflect the reconstruction of small image details.

You can use DVD Ripper with Enlarger AI to convert DVDs to MKV/MP4 video format in 1080p resolution or use DVD to Blu-ray Converter with Enlarger AI to convert DVDs to standard Blu-ray format in 1080p resolution for the purpose of a better viewing experience.

Besides, the video files (like MPEG format) with 480p resolution captured by old digital video devices, and even VOB files from DVDs can be upscaled to 1080p resolution when Video Converter works with Enlarger AI.

We will keep you informed of the upcoming new features and be dedicated to bringing you much more stunning user experience. Please feel free to try out the existing new features.

DVDFab Mini — Get Things Done with the Least Steps Possible

November 7th, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 127,654 views

Evolution of DVDFab and the Introduction of DVDFab Mini

After more than 13 years’ evolution, DVDFab has made its way to version 10. Looking back, whenever a major upgrade comes out, there must be some new features, products, or functions added in, and accompanying those newly added features are some inevitable increase in the interface complexity, no matter how slight it might be, it is actually there. However, this does not mean that the pursuit of the better user experience has been somewhat compromised. Instead, in order to minimize that feeling, developers at DVDFab come out with this mind-blowing concept — reinventing DVDFab 10, and eventually they present us with the all-new DVDFab Mini.

Don’t be confused! DVDFab Mini is not a standalone product branched out of DVDFab 10, but more interestingly, another way to use DVDFab 10 with the simplified interface layouts, or to be more specifically, with the most basic feature sets, like we switch our smart phone into the flight mode after boarding a plane. If there is one word to describe DVDFab Mini, it is all about simplicity.

How Exactly DVDFab Mini Works Different from DVDFab 10

Like mentioned above, DVDFab Mini does not have its own installer program, it will be installed automatically and simultaneously when users install DVDFab 10 on their computers. Upon finishing the installation of DVDFab 10, there will be two shortcut icons appeared on the desktop, one is for the fully-featured DVDFab 10, and the other for the simplified DVDFab Mini. Despite the fact that DVDFab Mini and DVDFab 10 are installed once and for all, the two versions of DVDFab do not work at the same time, which is to say, if DVDFab 10 is already opened, clicking the desktop icon of DVDFab Mini does not start up the simplified version, vice versa. The intention behind this design is more than obvious – if all you care about is get your task done without having to set up all those complicated parameters, then you go with DVDFab Mini, but if you belong to those who want to put all the details under your command and would like the output result to meet your very special requirements, then you can stick with DVDFab 10.

Where to Download DVDFab Mini

To use DVDFab Mini, users have to install the latest Alpha version of DVDFab 10, which is available only from its official forum for the time being at http://forum.dvdfab.cn/forumdisplay.php?f=69, and for the detailed explanation to guide you through the initial process, you can refer to the online manual for DVDFab Mini at http://www.dvdfab.cn/manual/introduction/DVDFab-Mini

Meet the DVDFab Remote — Monitor the Real-time Task Progress of DVDFab on Your Smart Phone

November 1st, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 112,404 views

Thanks to the popularity of smart phones and the convenience of installing applications, people now can do a lot of things on their smart phones, some of which might have nothing to do with their phones, such as installing a remote app to use the phone as a way to control their smart TVs. Now we feel very proud to introduce you the DVDFab Remote, a mobile application designed for DVDFab users to monitor the real-time task information from their iOS or Android phones or tablets anywhere in their houses.

Why DVDFab Remote

Why would I be interested by this mobile app? Suppose you have the entire 4th season of the House of Cards which you want to watch on your smart phone, but just don’t have enough time to sit down at your computer to perform the conversion task. Now with DVDFab Remote, you don’t have to worry about this, you can just start the conversion job with DVDFab client, and then do other important things in your house, as DVDFab Remote will keep you timely updated with the task information in DVDFab client, by receiving push notifications on your smart screen. All that left for you is, if there is a popup window in DVDFab client which may ask you to perform an action, there will be a push notification showing up on your phone, and upon receiving the push notification, just go back to your computer desk and execute that action.

How DVDFab Remote works

DVDFab Remote works in two ways. When there are currently tasks running in DVDFab client, users can open DVDFab Remote on their smart phones to check the real-time task information, like which one has finished successfully, which one has failed, which one is still waiting to be started, and also the task complete percentage, estimated time remaining, etc. They can be timely updated by these detailed information without paying a visit to the computer that is running those tasks in DVDFab client in the corner of a certain room in the house; on the other hand, while DVDFab client is running some tasks on its own, and users are doing other things in another room, DVDFab Remote will receive timely push notification on their phones if an action in DVDFab client is required. It is at that time when they actually need to go to the computer to take that certain action, like inserting a blank media to continue a burning task, or dismissing a dialog window, etc.

A few other things to know

For the time being, DVDFab Remote works only with DVDFab 10 which is still in the Alpha version. To download the latest DVDFab 10 Alpha version, you need to visit the official forum at http://forum.dvdfab.cn/forumdisplay.php?f=69, and to download and install DVDFab Remote, you have two ways, one is to download the APK file directly from the above-mentioned link, and the other way is to scan the QR code available at Common Settings > General > Remote section of DVDFab 10 Common Settings panel, and then perform the download on your Android phone. While to the iPhone users, you will have to wait for a little longer, the Remote app for iOS should be released soon.

For more information about how to use DVDFab Remote, please refer to the detailed walkthrough available at http://www.dvdfab.cn/manual/introduction/DVDFab-Remote

DVDFab 10 Allows Running Copy and Ripper Modules Concurrently

October 11th, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 116,252 views

Occasionally, you might want to make a backup copy of a newly purchased DVD movie, and also rip that DVD into compatible format so as to watch it on your smart phone. With DVDFab 9, you would have to run two separate tasks with the DVD Copy and DVD Ripper modules to complete those two missions, unless you allow DVDFab 9 to run multiple instances, which the service staff seldom recommends, as running multiple instances of DVDFab shall inevitably increase the crash possibility.

Now with the redesigned Task Queue in DVDFab 10 (currently in Alpha version), Copy and Ripper modules do not run at the same time has become a history. To complete the same two tasks mentioned above, users do not need to wait until one task finishes in the Copy module to run the next task in the Ripper, or vice versa, they can get the Copy and Ripper modules work concurrently in one task.

Here below is a detailed walkthrough on how to concurrently run DVD Copy and DVD Ripper in one task. Before moving forward, make sure you’ve downloaded and installed DVDFab 10 Alpha version on your computer, which is available at DVDFab official forum http://forum.dvdfab.cn/forumdisplay.php?f=69

Step 1 > Create a task in the Copy module

Launch DVDFab 10 to the Copy module, insert the to-be-copied DVD disc into the computer optical drive, and wait until DVDFab 10 finishes analyzing the DVD, then set up all the necessary settings as you normally do in DVDFab 9, but do not press the Start button for the time being. At this moment, you can see a red dot with the number 1 show up on the menu-like button near the top right corner of the main interface.

Click that menu-like button to open the Task Queue Manager window, where you can see the task is already added into the Current Task list, with a status label as Ready to Start.

Close this window and return to the main interface.

Step 2 > Create another task in Ripper module

Now switch to the Ripper module from the top menu bar, you will see exactly the same source being loaded there. However, it is by default locked from any operation, which means, users need to switch the toggle button to unlock it so as to use it for the ripping task.

Click the toggle button to unlock the source, now you will see the number in the red dot has immediately changed into 2. At this point, you are able to set up all the conversion configurations as you normally do in DVDFab 9. When all is ready to go, press the Start button to initiate the two tasks.

After clicking the Start button, the Task Queue Manager window shall pop up, showing you that the software has already started to process the ripping task, and the copy task is currently waiting in the task queue, which shall automatically start to process when the ripping task finishes.

Note: while the two tasks are being processed, you can minimize the Task Queue Manager window and return to the DVDFab 10 main interface, where you are still allowed to add more copy or ripping tasks, using the same source, or even load another new source.

Passkey 9 Now Decrypts a DVD in Around 10s, and Blu-rays to Follow Suit Soon

September 27th, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 17,621 views

Suppose you can decrypt a DVD disc in around 10s in the future, instead of the current average of 2 minutes, what do you think? Traditional decrypting tools that rely completely on the PC software clients to do the decryption job are gradually being edged out as we gradually enter the cloud computing era. Now we feel very proud to say that you do not have to wait any longer into the future to benefit from the new technology, as Passkey 9 has already made the transfer from the conventional decryption means to the cloud-based approach. You can get your hands on it now to see how the cloud-based decryption changes the way how you decrypt a disc.

Here is also a video comparing Passkey 9 to Passkey 8 in decrypting a DVD disc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jD6Dk7bModw

Background: why Passkey 9 can improve the decryption speed so dramatically?

With the experience of PathPlayer, DVDFab Media Player and BluPath technology, Fengtao Software has determined to upgrade its decryption means to the next level, and we would like to call it DVDFab Cloud Decryption Service, abbreviated as DVDFab CDS. This is to say, the decryption data for both DVDs and Blu-rays are now being put into the Secure Decryption Databank on our server. The great advantages of doing so can be briefly summarized in the following three aspects.

–   Decryption for DVDs are now done in a matter of seconds

–   Heavily protected Secure Decryption Databank

–   Support the newest protections as soon as we can

Passkey 9 is the first product from Fengtao Software to apply the DVDFab Cloud Decryption Service, and soon it will also be applied in the upcoming DVDFab 10. Also, in the early stage, only the decryption for DVDs is improved, however, Blu-rays are surely to follow suit soon in the following updates.

House of Cards: the Complete 4th Season Now Hits the Blu-ray

July 12th, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 18,055 views

As the first original online-only web television series to receive major Emmy nominations, House of Cards has seen its 4th season finale, and it also has been announced that the 5th season shall be premiered in the coming 2017. In an era when fewer and fewer TV dramas fail to bring the 2nd season to light, how does House of Cards manage to become so wildly popular?

First, let’s see what the House of Cards is all about. House of Cards is a Netflix-aired web television series which is all about the American political. The TV drama is created by Beau Willimon. The entire 1st season containing 13 episodes was premiered on February 1, 2013, with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th season aired on February 14, 2014, February 27, 2015 and March 4, 2016, respectively. The plot of House of Cards was set in the present-day Washington, D.C., and its story centered on Frank Underwood (portrayed by Kevin Spacey), a Democrat from South Carolina’s 5th congressional district and House Majority Whip who, after being passed over for appointment as Secretary of State, initiates an elaborate plan to get himself into a position of greater power, aided by his wife Claire Underwood (portrayed by Robin Wright). The three major themes of this TV series are ruthless pragmatism, manipulation, and power.

Secondly, House of Cards has received very positive reviews and several award nominations. So far, it has received 33 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor for Spacey, and Outstanding Lead Actress for Wright, for each of its first three seasons. The show also earned eight Golden Globe Award nominations, with Wright winning for Best Actress – Television Series Drama in 2014 and Spacey winning for Best Actor – Television Series Drama in 2015.

Thirdly, the show is an adaptation of the acclaimed BBC mini-series of the same name from 1990 which is based on the novel by Michael Dobbs. However, while the original show focused on the inner workings of British politics, the remake is entirely US based. On the surface, the show might appear to be a political drama – which it certainly is – but it’s also so much more than that. House of Cards combines a vast number of genres; it’s a thriller, a love story, a black comedy and a satire – and a very interesting lesson in US politics.

Are you a fan of House of Cards? Or are you a fan of Kevin Spacey, or Robin Wright? Now the complete 4th season has come out on Blu-ray disc available on Amazon, together with the previous three seasons. It is a nice choice for the collection purpose. As for the daily watching, you can use the backup copies of the original discs which can be done via DVDFab’s Blu-ray copy software.

Alphabet to Roll out Google-branded Smart Phone?

June 28th, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 16,726 views

A recent report from The Telegraph shows that Google’s parent company Alphbet is planning a Google-branded Android phone, which will make the company directly compete with Apple, and other leading Android OEMs including Samsung, LG, Lenovo, HTC, Huawei, Xiaomi and the likes. This self-branded smart phone is believed to enter the market by the end of this year.

According to the source, Alphabet the tech giant is currently in negotiations with major mobile carriers about expanding its influence in the hardware sector by introducing its own non-Nexus smart phone pipeline. Study shows that, Android’s open source nature has so far helped Google take more than 80% of the mobile market share. Although it has partnered with LG, Huawei and HTC to give them the authorization for designing and manufacturing Nexus devices, Google’s main focus, which is different from Apple, is still centered on the software level, including constantly improving and upgrading Android and the native apps inside the operating system.

However, the situation this time seems to be a little bit different, it is said that Google will have more control over the designing, manufacturing and preloaded apps of the upcoming flagship smart phone. It is assumed that Google made this decision out of three major reasons. The first and also the most critical one is that despite Android being the largest mobile operating system by market share, the blunt fact is that Apple still scores 90% of the profit out of the premium smart phone market. The second reason is that all the Android OEMs are trying to differentiate itself from each other by customizing and fragmentizing the stock Android experience, which results in Google’s inefficiency in keeping the consistency of its mobile operating system. The third reason is that some OEMs are not timely keeping their skinned Android OSes up to date and they even remove some of the native apps which Google thinks customers would love to use.

“Google is deeply concerned by the fragmentation issue Android is currently suffering, and I think Google needs to have more control over its own platform, in Apple’s way of controlling iOS”, says Ben Wood, the analyst from the market research company CCS Insight, who believes that Alphabet makes its resolution of releasing a self-branded smart phone so that Google can gain absolute authorization regarding to the software control, and to further make sure its own services like Google Search and Google Play can run smoothly on the phone.

There are still other analysts who believe that the current Nexus pipeline is also the reason why Alphabet is in consideration of making a brand new smart phone with a Google logo put on it. They argue that although Nexus pipeline ensures the stock Android experience and makes sure that consumers are kept in tune with the latest achievements Android reaches, however, the biggest issue lies in its sales channel which considerably restricts Nexus phones’ reaching range, because they are not being sold via the mobile carriers, but by Google’s own Play Store and its selected retailers at full price. If sold by carriers like AT&T, Verizon and Vodafone, not only can Google receive price subsidies, but also non-Nexus buyers can be potentially attracted. What’s more, under this approach, Google can put the best Android experience into its own smart phones. Three birds with one stone, what a brilliant idea!

While some industry experts still see this with a grain of salt, they think if Google wants to roll out its own smart phone brand, would it be the perfect timing after acquiring Motorola? This argument seems to be quite reasonable. As we all know, after buying Motorola, Google did not make the later stronger, instead Google sold it off to Lenovo only two years later, but retaining most of the mobile patents. This is also why people believe that Google bought Motorola only for its patents. Now the question comes, will these patents be helpful to establish a Google-branded smart phone?

Dear readers, what do you think of Google trying to release its own branded smart phone? Do you think it is possible for Google to follow Apple’s suit to integrate its software and hardware to build its own gardened ecosystem? If this turns out to be true, what will other OEMs like Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, Lenovo, Xiaomi and the likes do, will they be forced to invent their own operating systems respectively? What do you think of a smart phone with a Google logo on it? Will you line up for it? Don’t hesitate to comment below.

Oh, one more thing, if you have one or more Nexus devices, don’t forget that the DVD ripper software, Blu-ray ripper software and video converter software from DVDFab can help you convert your personal owned DVDs, Blu-rays and video files for watching on your Nexus devices with the best video quality possible.

After 13 Years’ Waiting, Finally Comes the Time to Suit up to Find Dory

June 20th, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 17,346 views

Bet everybody here, Pixar fan or not, still remembers Nemo, that little abducted clownfish whose overprotective dad Marlin, in order to find him, searched across the entire ocean all the way to the Sydney Harbor. Undoubtedly, Finding Nemo, as one of the masterpieces from Pixar Studio, along with others like A Bug’s Life, The Incredibles, Toy Stories, Cars, and etc, is still one of the best computer generated animation films in the entire film history.

However, Finding Nemo was originally aired in 2003, and in the years thereafter, Toy Story has seen its 3rd sequel, and even Cars 2 has gained wild popularity worldwide, the Studio has kept us waiting for such a long period that many even wonder if there is ever gonna be a Finding Nemo 2. The good news is yes there is. On June 17, the long-awaited sequel Finding Dory, after 13 years time, eventually hit the big screen.

Andrew Stanton, who 13 years ago directed the original Finding Nemo, returned this time both as the director and the writer, other crews includes Angus MacLane as the co-director, and Victoria Strouse and Finding Nemo’s co-writer Bob Peterson as writers. The film features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Hayden Rolence, Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy.

Instead of the clownfish, this time Finding Dory’s storyline begins with Dory, the amnesiac tang fish. One year after Nemo reunited with Marlin, Dory started to have some dreams and flashbacks, no matter how fragmental there were, reminded Dory some memories about her own life before meeting Marlin and Nemo, particularly about her own parents. Then, it was the lecture from Mr. Ray about sea animal migration finally triggered her strong desire to find her own parents. However, all she can traced back from her poor vague memory was that they lived at the “the Jewel of Morro Bay, California”. Although being reluctant to allow Dory to risk her life again by travelling across the ocean, Marlin eventually decided to accompany Dory in her new adventure. With help from Crush, Dory, Marlin and Nemo ride the ocean current to California and begin their second ocean adventure…

Finding Dory has received many positive reviews from critics since its first debut on June 17 in America and Canada, and has grossed over $186 million worldwide in just three days. It is believed that it will become the best-ever sequel Pixar has made in almost two decades. Do you have time for it in the theatre? Don’t worry if you are too busy to squeeze out some time, as Amazon is already allowing customers to pre-order a BD Combo Pack on it, including 2 Blu-ray discs, 1 DVD disc and an HD digital copy, which you can watch at home on your Blu-ray player.

however, it is highly recommended to make a backup copy of the original Blu-ray discs so that you can prevent them from being potentially damaged, and for that purpose, a piece of Blu-ray copy software like DVDFab Blu-ray Copy will simply does the trick.

At the Eve of WWDC 2016: What Do You Expect from Apple the iPhone Maker?

June 13th, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 16,948 views

Apple’s 27th Worldwide Developer Conference, abbreviated as WWDC, is due tomorrow June the 13th, what do you expect most from the iPhone maker this year? As we all know, Apple’s developer conference is most about the software level, so don’t expect anything on hardware level, as undoubtedly Apple will showcase the next version of its most proud iOS platform at its biggest software-centered conference, alongside with others like the Apple Music, Apple Pay, Siri for Mac, and etc.

iOS 10

It is not hard to learn from Apple’s practice in the past that the preview version of iOS 10 will be rolled out at this year’s WWDC, introducing some main feature updates, and in the meantime, retaining a few other features for the iPhone release event in fall. What’s more, from iOS 9’s release process, it is also easy to assume that the iOS 10 developer’s build will be available shortly after the conference, following by the public beta version which shall fix more bugs. As to the official version, we will have to wait for the next generation of iPhone release. Anyway, as the innovation on the iPhone hardware gradually fades day by day, iOS 10 has to take the responsibility to draw large attention from the audience. So let’s just wait for the wows tomorrow, which are only a few hours to go.

Apple Pay

Rumors have been flying everywhere that Apple will at this year’s WWDC announce its payment solution available to website, which will surely facilitates its iOS users by allowing them to purchase items from the partnered websites. This means Apple Pay will become a convenient payment alternative to PayPal when checking out, which could be an encouraging sign to iPhone users. Different to PayPal, consumers will have to use the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on their iPhones to proceed with the transactions. As of now, it is still not clear whether the solution shall be available only to the Safari, or it could be used with any browser application on the Mac. But, we are just a few hours away from unveiling the fact, so let’s be a little more patient.

Apple Music

An earlier Bloomberg report reveals that Apple has been planning to re-introduce its music service, which has been initially launch for just one year. If this turns out to be true, it could mean really a lot to Apple, because when first stepping into the music streaming market, it already lags behind its major rival Spotify. To make the situation even worse, the feedbacks from the subscribers are far away from exciting or encouraging, most of who are complaining its unfriendly user interface. Even the now extremely popular singer Taylor Swift is fiercely criticizing Apple’s royalty fee policy…All of these finally help Apple make its mind on the re-launch proposal. What does this can possibly mean? Hopefully, consumers will be able to see the revamped UI plus the improved streaming and downloading experience, and also an expanded radio service.

Siri for Mac

MacRumors, a famous place where hundreds of rumors on Apple are housed, gives us a quite interesting claim that Apple would very much possible to bring Siri to Mac. They even say they have grabbed enough evidence including both some images and icons Siri shows up in the Mac dock and menu bar. According to their sources, the icon in the menu bar features the word “Siri” surrounded by a black outline, and the icon for the dock features a design of colorful waveform. This seems quite interesting! MacRumors is not the only one stating Siri’s showcase on Mac. Another major Apple-centered media 9to5Mac also claimed one year earlier that Apple was already readying a redesigned version of Siri for its desktop operating system.

Besides the above mentioned highlights, what do you expect to see at Apple’s annual developer conference, dear readers? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comment section below.

Customize Blu-ray Copy without losing Navigation Menus

June 6th, 2016 by DVDFab_Malcolm 19,685 views

Navigation menus on a DVD or Blu-ray disc give the viewers the second-to-none video control experience, that’s why it becomes the last thing people want to compromise while making backup copies, even in a custom manner. In the past few years, there was no software solution on the market that allows people to freely choose whatever they want to backup. Things get changed when the customize mode of DVDFab Blu-ray Copy came out, and probably it is now still the only one on the market.

However, when the Customize Mode was first rolled out, there was some limitation in it. At that time, to make a custom copy, users must give up the navigation menu. Now with the releasing of version 9.3.0.2, that awkward no longer exists, because devs at Fengtao Software Inc. have figured out a new way to let users keep the native menus while customizing a Blu-ray disc. That’s even not enough, they also brings the custom menu feature seen in the DVD Creator, Blu-ray Creator and Blu-ray to DVD Converter to Blu-ray Copy. This means, if users do want the original menus, then they have the extra choice to add custom menus in their ways.

To learn exactly how this amazing new feature works, there is a detailed step-by-step guide which is available at http://www.dvdfab.cn/tutorial/Customize-Blu-ray-with-menus
